I Just Want To Squeeze Her All Day Long!!!

The first two pictures are of Emma before our walk to school. We walk Gehrig to school every day and pick him up. The 3rd picture is Emma watching the boys do their Karate and the 4th picture is her at the park. She was so tired, I should have taken her home, but it was too nice to miss the park for the boys. Such is the life of the 3rd child.

Karate

I found that the high schools around here have adult and children education classes for incredibly low prices. I was so excited when I started looking at the classes offered. I really would love to take a bunch myself, but I don't know how to do that with 3 kids. Anyway. . .I signed the boys up for Karate. They love it and it's so fun to watch them (except when they start goofing off with each other). We go once a week for an hour. It's great!!

The NEW Big Brother

I think Damian is loving being the biggest brother home while Gehrig is at school. Here he is taking care of Emma. I love how he opens his mouth to encourage her to open hers! Posted by Picasa

The Preying Mantis!

The boys were so excited one day when Gehrig came home from school and found this on the outside of our home. They didn't quite dare get too close to it, but they wanted to hang out and watch it. Gehrig even brought out some paper and a pen and drew a picture of it. I wish I could find the picture to blog it for you.

Damian's latest. . .

Need I say anything??? I guess he was taking the stapel out of a pamphlet with his teeth during "quiet time." Thank heavens for my jewelry pliers--they have soooo many uses! :) Posted by Picasa

Shelfreliance.com

This was my project today; organizing my food storage and putting together my new rolling shelves! Lou put the frame together last night and I organized the shelves today. It was quite the project, but it feels good!

Gehrig thought he and Emma looked cute together and wanted a picture. She was so happy to be hanging out with her big brother!

Gehrig loved his first day of school! (Damian and I had a fun time together while Gehrig was gone. He was very interested in reading--I think he's trying to grow up too.)Here Gehrig is coming out of class for the first time. His teacher is right there next to him.

I thought Gehrig would come enthusiatically to me and start telling me about his day, but he actually was more excited to see his brother. He hugged him and tried to pick him up, etc.

And then. . .today, his second day of class, he wasn't interested in going because he looked like Quasimodo, yet again! After his first day of school, we took a picnic to the park with our friends to celebrate. After eating, he had fun playing on the playground until a bee stung him--right on the eyelid! Well, it wasn't too bad yesterday and by bedtime, it wasn't swollen at all. Well, this picture was taken after school today, not looking one bit better than before I sent him. I can't believe how swollen his eye is today. Poor kid, he didn't want to have everybody looking at him, so he was sure he didn't want to go today. But, he went anyway and he had a great time again! Posted by Picasa

Our Big Kindergartener

Gehrig was so excited to start school today. He got up and bathed & dressed himself while I was gone on my morning walk. He's usually still asleep when I get back (around 7:15ish). The only one feeling like crying was ME, the mom (I couldn't--too many of my friends were around holding it together themselves!). It's nice that he's so excited about it b/c I probably wouldn't have been able to handle it if he were nervous. I'm really excited to hear how his day goes today. Posted by Picasa
