June 2011

Liam Nathaniel--5 1/2 weeks and figuring out how to smile!

Isn't he adorable?

I love baby feet.

I just thought Isaiah looked cute taking his nap--most angelic time of day! :)

Cub Country--Scout Camp
The boys had a blast Friday and Saturday at their scout camp! The highlight for Damian was finding a wallet with $50 in it. He resisted the urge to keep it and turned it in. The leader told the entire group about his honesty and he loved the feeling it gave him to do the right thing! I'm so proud of him!

Liam was being so cute on my lap. Pictures never do babies justice.

I asked the children to do the dishes while I ran a quick errand. The only one that listened to me was cute Isaiah (just turned 4 a couple of weeks ago). When I came back, the counters were cleared and I could tell that someone had tried. When I looked in the dishwasher, I thought it was funny what I found. Can you see the cups stacked on top of each other and the way he loaded the bottom rack? Done like a true 4 year old! I'm glad he's trying and learning how to clean!

My great Aunt Shirley passed away a little over a week ago. After her funeral, we had a family reunion with food, music, visiting and lots of fun! Emma & Isaiah were having a blast dancing to YMCA! I wish I could load the video of them dancing. It was so cute!

Emma has a special skill with Liam. If nobody else can calm him down, SHE can! It's so cute. Here he is, upset.

She calms him down almost immediately every time! What a great help she has been!

She never tires of him.

A darling outfit Liam's Aunty Suzanne sent him from Louisiana!

June 12th, not quite 1 month old.

We took a walk in a neighborhood just a mile or so from our home. We call it the "river walk". Isn't it a beautiful place?

June 8th in Idaho. Aunt Shirley holding the cute little bug!

We had fun at Aunt Milly's home with her cute kids!

June 2011 Part 2

Gehrig had a rare opportunity to spend some time on a horse in Idaho. He's VERY allergic to them, but he took an allergy pill every day and was able to keep himself from an asthma attack and even had some fun riding with Damian. I'm glad he was able to enjoy a little time with the horses--he loves it!

Liam, looking so cute in his carseat.

Isaiah loves riding with his Mimi.

Liam

Isaiah was able to enjoy his 4th birthday in Idaho with many of his cousins!

We came to Idaho just 9 days after Liam was born to attend my King grandmother's funeral (she died 4 days after his birth). We had a wonderful reunion with King relatives and enjoyed learning more about her life and remembering the good times with her! She and Grandpa were such an example of true love! I'm happy to know they are reunited! I think this is the only picture I have from the funeral.

Grandma and Grandpa Smith came over to Mom's house to see our newest arrival. He was unusually fussy at the time, but Grandma loves them any way they come! She's always so cute with the newborns. I love her smile in this picture.

. . .and her look of concern in this one. I'm sorry I didn't get more of Grandpa, but what little there is of him is cute--I mean handsome! :)

Michael and his newest, Kreighton. I hope he and Liam have many wonderful times together!

Liam was sitting up straight and completely wide-eyed in Lou's hands, but by the time I got my camera, it wasn't quite the same. Still a cute picture of Liam and his daddy. Lou has been so good to pick him up and console him when he's around. I love how he studies Liam and you can see the love as he looks at his latest little man. He's also the resident "burper" expert. Nobody can get Liam to burp after a feeding like Lou can! :)

May 26th-1 week old.

Gehrig was such a great helper that first week! Five and a half weeks later, he's still as in love with his little brother as he was that first week! So cute!
