Fun at Kiddie Kandids

So. . .I told you that our kids were a part of Kiddie Kandids Winter Campaign photo shoot. Right? Well, I just found out last night that there is a huge picture on their wall at one of their stores (probably others too). I had to go and check it out today. What fun! I wanted to make sure that I did what I needed to do to get my hands on the pictures when they're finished with them. So. . .while I was at their store, they asked me if they could take pictures of Emma and Isaiah (it was really slow and the photographer was in training). So I said, SURE. I got 6 FREE sheets today! I didn't have them dressed and looking perfect for pictures, but I think they turned out pretty cute. I shouldn't spend so much time dolling them up for pictures in the future, eh?

Neighborhood Rivalry--Need I say more?

I'm not sure you can see this well enough. I'm assuming that he doesn't need stitches, but according to something I read on the internet, he may need them. Hmmm. . . what do you think?

Is this boy for REAL?

Gehrig brought these writings to me today. It's hard to imagine that a 7 year old came up with these things on his own (although the handwriting and spelling might give away his age somewhat--not bad for 7 though!). The next 3 pages are a story that he wrote. (Lou says the tiger story is a recreation of an old story he's heard.) Anyway. . .isn't he great? What a clever little guy. (PS Check out the small picture at the bottom of My Speech. He's drawn himself with a bunch of microhpones in front of him.)

First Real Snow of the Season

Sorry. This is a bit old, but fun to post nonetheless!
The boys and I enjoyed our walk to school in the snow (stopping periodically to make wagon wheels in the snow, or write our names in it). Sadly, I didn't have my camera then. Emma and Isaiah couldn't wait to get out there and play in it (they escaped in barefeet, etc.) while I was trying to locate their snow clothes! They had fun making snow angels, letters, eating and visiting.

20 Pounds Lighter! :)

It's embarrassing to post these pictures, but I figure I started something. . .I have to finish it. Right? This is an exciting day for me. I hit 20 pounds down (in 9 weeks)!! I'm 10 pounds from my goal weight, but I'm wanting to focus more on toning than anything right now. You know, I've almost lost the weight of one of my toddlers! Kind of fun!

Happy Halloween 2008

Our good friend, Traci, loaned Emma her hat for a minute. She's really supposed to be Tinkerbell, but I loved the hat with the boots!

Bugs Bunny really did have a good time. He was just being introspective! :) We had such wonderful weather this year! Can you believe they were out there without jackets and feeling just fine? We enjoyed an early dinner of Mummy Wraps, Bloody Fingers & Eyeballs (hot dog wrapped in crescent rolls, french fries with ketchup & peeled grapes--great idea came from my friend Elena). I turned on the radio and they were playing spooky music, so I turned out the lights and served them dinner as if in a haunted house. They loved it! I tried to find other Halloween-type music and thought of The Phantom of the Opera. They loved that! I had to play the main theme over and over for Damian. Anyway. . .it was fun to have Lou home to take us trick-or-treating. We did more of that than we usually do (probably won't do that next year), but it was fun.

The best shot I could get of the four of them dressed up. Gehrig fancied himself a vampire batman!

I forgot to get pictures of our traditional stop--we always finish up at the Campbell's home. We went in and enjoyed visiting with them for a little bit before we came home. They always give the kids fruit (this year apples and pomegranates) and usually a book. They LOVE stopping here! We had a great time!
