Mimi, Papa & The Leprechaun Visited

Emma wasn't quite sure how she felt about being on the horse. Look at how she's hanging on to Mom's hands. She was kind of proud of herself after a while. I love her expressions. Mom & Dad stopped to visit us on their way down south for a horse ride. It was really fun to see them!

Gehrig's kindergarten teacher had the kids make leprechaun catchers. They didn't catch him and Gehrig wasn't finished trying when he brought it home. He set it up again and wrote a message on the sidewalk with chalk. Camille was here visiting and helped the Leprechaun remember to pay him a visit. The kids are looking at the gold he left behind and the message. They were so excited to see that he had been by and left something for them!

Happy Belated Birthday Quincy!

We were happy to have the Messicks visit us for a few days. Emma gave Quincy a phone for his birthday, which as you can see, was a hit! They both had phones to play with. They are at such a fun stage. They are both walking all over the place, having so much fun with each other!

Basketball!

Lou has been playing stake basketball for the past month or two and we were finally able to make it to a couple of his final games of the season. I think Damian and Emma are the most interested in playing the game of my children. It was so cute to see Damian following Lou around, licking his hand and wiping the bottom of his shoes, etc. And of course, little Emma had no fear following the big guys around!

Then, Gehrig got into the game a bit and as you can see, the boys were learning about jump balls, dribbling, slam dunks and jump shots.

Our ward took 2nd in the stake and went to the regional tournament. The 1st ranked team lost in their first game, but our team went on to final victory! First team in the region! They had several tight games, winning by one point in the last few seconds. The final game was won in overtime. I was so impressed with our team. They played great team ball and everybody on both teams had great sportsmanship (minus the heckler on the sidelines from the other team). The team they beat in the end were much younger than our team (probably had us by an average of near 10 years). It was very exciting to watch! And of course, Lou was sensational! :)

Emma was the little water girl! Isn't she the cutest?!! Posted by Picasa
