Fathers & Sons Campout and Cub Country

FATHERS & SONS CAMPOUT
The boys were so excited to go camping with their daddy! They were buckled up ready to go for quite some time before Lou was actually ready to go. They were able to get there on a Friday evening in time to set up camp, enjoy dinner, explore and have fun around the campfire. They went fishing the next morning (had a typical Utah fishing experience for us---NO fish) and came home dirty and happy!
Gehrig went to his first Cub Scout camp--CUB COUNTRY this weekend. It was a day camp on Friday (Super Hero Academy) and Saturday (Jurassic Journey) up Millcreek Canyon. Gehrig's favorite day was Jurassic Journey (learning was geared toward archeology). I'll admit it, it was hard for me to let my baby go without a parent to an all day event in the mountains with inclement weather, but he had a blast and had so much to tell us about when he got home. Isn't he about the cutest scout ever? Oh, the thing he's holding up is a Viking alphabet (Runes) that he wrote down from his history lesson this week. He's been writing in ancient Runes in his journal, etc. The boys LOVES history (he spent 4-5 hours on Thursday doing one history lesson after another--actually made himself a bit sick from staring at the computer screen for so long).
On Saturday, while Gehrig was gone, Damian's creativity came out during quiet time. He made this robot. If you look closely, you'll see eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, etc.

Gehrig in a scout uniform! WHERE did the time go? It grows him up way to much. He's so stinking cute!

I love Damian's sideways hat and toothless grin!

These are really fun shots. Lou looks like he is having fun, too.
