Today was another fun event-filled day. We started out at Washington's estate, Mt. Vernon. He lived on 8,000 acres. We toured about 45 acres. The beauty of his home, gardens, and forest overlooking the Patomac River was unbelievable! This was the only place that cost us money to enter, but the $13 was well worth the cost! I loved it! Also, they have a new museum that is absolutely fascinating, well-organized (not too overdone) and high tech. This is a must see if you ever go to D.C.!

Just one of the many paths through his forest (leading to the wharf).

Look at the beautiful color in these trees.

I love Mt. Vernon! That is my favorite place to visit in D.C., for sure! It's so fun to imagine living there. What a place!
